| W/P - Sr. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/KW.27.3.36. Le Mans Race. Many thanks for Sr/Dn.9/ET.21.3.36. I agree almost exactly with everything Faroux says: it seems sound advice. I suggest that you ought to use a Ph.III for policing the course, which would prevent the public getting the idea that we were further our own interests. If you like the idea, recommend it to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Incidentally, we will try and ginger up an experimental Ph.III for the job if we happen to have one available. With regard to rooms, I spoke to Danby on the 'phone yesterday afternoon and asked him to book a room for the Saturday night for both Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and myself; i.e., two rooms, and one room for myself during practice. I hope for your sake we shall put up a good show. I shall be disappointed if we are not a lot faster than we were in the T.T. The overwhelming handicap is of course that we have only one car in the race. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
