Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter of the 1st inst. together with drawing No. MGA.{M. G. Aspley}20100. We have carefully gone over the points you raise and return the sketch to you with the necessary dimensions marked.

It would appear that the steering box will suit our chassis admirably and that actually the carburetter foul will not matter as we are going to put it on our chassis with slightly greater column rake. We suggest that you do not drill the holes in the flange as we prefer to do it here. This will give us some latitude with regard to our column rake.

In view of the characteristic mechanical advantage of your steering gear we are inclined to agree with you that the 1.1/32" pitch will suit our purpose best; if we have this ratio we can always bring back the overall steering ratio by lengthening the pendulum lever.

With regard to the inside dimension of your steering tube. This scales .750 and if this dimension is correct it is satisfactory as the outside diameter of our large control tube is .672.
