To Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} X149 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 2/KT. 22.7.33. ORIFICE COEFFICIENT OF VALVE PORTS. Confirming our conversation on this subject. We are anxious to obtain an 8 litre Bentley cylinder head complete with valves and valve guides. We should also like a 4 litre head if this is available, but are not so interested in the latter. We only propose to blow through the inlet valves and therefore, if new pieces are supplied, we can return them undamaged. However we should prefer scrap parts so that we could retain them to refer to from time to time. If new parts are supplied we shall probably want to keep them for three or four weeks because we shall have to make adaptors before they could be used.
