BJ10/E12/4/27 12th April 1927 Dear Mr. Gastall, With reference to our conversation in regard to the present position of the Autovac not giving entirely satisfactory results, I have now heard from Mr. Hives that we had many complaints when we first introduced the Autovac and had considerable correspondence with your firm about May 1925. Since then you have introduced the elbow with suction controlled valve and, when it was fitted, it was explained to Mr. Royle, your Works Manager, that this fitting did not eliminate the original trouble but it did reduce it. The position, therefore, is that the Autovac is still unsatisfactory under some conditions, and doubtless your people are still investigating to ascertain whether it can be improved. Yours faithfully, (Sgd) B. Johnson Arthur Gastall Esq., Of Messrs. The Autovac Manufacturing Co. Ld., Heaton Norris, Stockport. | ||
