To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} K206 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}17/KW.4.3.36. Brake Squeaks - Bentley. The Ferodo M.R. used on this car is rather bad for developing squeaks after a year or two in service. There are reasons for supposing that S.5805 will be better in this respect. Its other properties are also satisfactory. We have hundreds of customers complaining of brake squeaks. We cannot allow them to use S.5805 until it has passed a 10,000 miles test. We should be much obliged if you would line a complete set of (8) Bentley aluminium foot brake shoes with this material (you have 3 sets of it) and hold them in readiness, so that if we see an opportunity of fitting them to B-56-BN{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} we can do so with the minimum of delay. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/A.F.Martindale. | ||
