Messrs. Gallay Ltd.,
103-109 Scrubs Lane,
Willesden,
LONDON, N.W.10.

For the attention of Mr. C.T. Delaney.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to your letter of the 7th inst., the writer regrets that he has not replied before, but he has been absent from the Works for some time and did not receive your letter until to-day.

The size of block which we wish you to fit is your two row type - 50 m.m., and we are afraid that we cannot conveniently alter the size of the inlet and outlet pipes. The water pump flow under full throttle full speed conditions is approximately 20 gallons per minute.

As regards the oil cooler, this must withstand a pressure of 200 lbs.sq.in. with the oil cold and 150 lbs.sq.in. with oil at 130° C. Attached is a sheet showing operating conditions.

We should like to receive the heat dissipation figures (for your type of matrix) which you promised to send us.

We should also like to receive by return if possible, your quotation for a two row Bentley Gallay matrix of the type which you are fitting for us, and for a three row Gallay matrix having other dimensions to our drawing E.59596 attached.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
