To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} & Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} From RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} & Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1020. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}5/WJ.2.2.38. PHANTOM 111 CONNECTING ROD BEARINGS IN A.C.6 MATERIAL. The twelve sets of modified connecting rod bearings are being prepared and will be fitted commencing the second chassis in 'D' Series. Arrangements could be made to continue the fitting of these on 'D' series. This would involve a Cost for the Bearings which are already in circulation of £60, which does not apply to Material but the labour required to convert to the modified type. If it is agreed to introduce AC.6 Bearings on 'D' Series immediate instructions are necessary in order that Production is not unduly delayed, and in anticipation of agreement we shall continue on these lines unless we hear to the contrary.
