1021 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG.5/ET. 10th April, 1941. John W. DALBY, Esq., I.C.I. (Rexine), Ltd., H Y D E, Cheshire. Dear Mr. Dalby, Thank you for your letter of the 4th instant, enclosing a sample of leather cloth. I am very glad that you are able to do something for us in the way of producing a piece of this material, in the colour we want. Regarding the quality, I am leaving this to you, as you will know what we require, i.e. a cloth that is as indistinguishable from leather as it is possible to make it. When I receive the sample from you, I can send it along to Mr. Conolly and ask him to produce some hides to match, which is reversing the usual procedure. In your letter you say that you are doing about a dozen yards in the "P" quality. You do not say how much of the thinner cloth you are doing, but if you will let me know the quantities you will be sending, I will arrange for an official order to be sent to you. Thanking you for the interest you have taken and with kind regards, Yours sincerely, | ||
