W/S To PN.{Mr Northey} from EFC. X 8664 EFC1/T4.10.28. DYNAMO WITH TWO RATES OF CHARGES Referring to PN{Mr Northey}28/LH{Mr Haworth}2.10.28, please see our report EFC3/T3.10.28. You have already received reports concerning the higher output dynamos which it is proposed to construct for special customers who require large output at night. (As you will have gathered, this is at the expense of later cutting-in in the early stages). In order to get the same increase in output with the same cutting-in point, a considerably increased weight of machine would be required, which would necessitate an increase of carcass diameter. The weight of the machine would probably come out in the neighbourhood of 40 lbs. as against the present 31 lbs. for the Phantom dynamo. EFC. | ||
