any time. We think the advantages of the Goshawk type of locked ignition switch are such that we ought to insist that it is duplicated on the 40/50.
KLAXON HORN SWITCH. The locked ignition switch would leave room for the Klaxon horn switch on the steering column and we could adapt the present Goshawk-11 design.
STARTER SWITCH. We see no reason why the Goshawk II starter switch should not be used on the 40/50 if suitable connections were made for operating the Actuating Box. Operating the switch by means of the pedal on the Goshawk, we consider is quite as convenient as operating the push button switch by means of the foot.
STARTER MOTOR. The present 40/50 starter motor could be used except that it would be modified to suit the earth wiring.
We believe, if a little time was given to adapting the Goshawk electrical equipment we could, at an early date, fit the 40/50 with complete R-R electrical equipment. We have the proved designs - the Works have the tools and ample capacity.
G.XX Car is now nearing completion except for the paint-work. This car is fitted with electrical equipment which we are never likely to use. It has got the R-R locked ignition switch, the R-R push type lamp switch, the Bleriot cut-out and Lucas dynamo. As we are never likely to adopt these fittings, we are anxious to get them off the car and fit on to it parts which could be run to greater advantage.
We should like to fit up G.XX Car with the complete R-R electrical equipment similar to that used on the Goshawk.
The other Goshawk parts which we think might be adopted on
