Mr Pattinson.
-----------------

We thank you for your memoranda TrS/D.27.II.36
and Tr{Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance}/Mgn12/H.28.II.36.

At the last moment on Saturday morning, the
28th instant, Imperial Airways decided that a 'plane would
take off.

We were successful in getting Mr Pattinson on
board. The 'plane left Le Bourget at II.35 a.m.

With regard to the transport question in London
and at Derby, we confirm that as Mr Pattinson was most
anxious to take the first available 'plane, he agreed and
even suggested that he could manage himself. Due to the
unfavourable weather conditions, it was impossible for us
to make any plans ahead.
