At the request of Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}9/JH.10.10.38, for a comparison wear figure of 3½ and 4¼ litre Bentleys, I enclose herewith a chart and drawing taken of cars nearest to the figures of 20,000 miles and 30,000 miles. The figure of .300" at the crown is the position of maximum wear, the other two figures are the routine position of measurement.
