Dear Sirs, We are obliged to you for your letter of the 12th. inst. addressed to our London Sales Office. The results of the test on the Exide 3-XRR11-1H battery are almost exactly what we had expected, owing to the fact that the height of their plate is greater than ours, and hence they get a larger surface area. The point you mention about the voltage drop across the intercell connectors is not of very great importance. We have measured the drop on the two connectors on our 3-BDHL11-A battery at 185 amperes, and it is only just .03 volts. We think we pointed out to Mr. West when he was here that we can make a battery to give exactly the same performance as the Exide one, but it will entail putting down new plate moulds, which would be an expensive proposition. We think we must leave to you the decision as to whether the performance of our battery is suitable for your requirements or not, as we are not aware of exactly what these are. Yours faithfully, PETO & RADFORD. C.P. Pritchett WST | ||
