Handwritten note: S Lde WDL 1163? should see what use is being made of this instrument Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Mr.Grylls. We are returning to you to-day the Askania vibrograph and the unused rolls of paper. We thank you for the loan of this instrument and should like to borrow it again when you can manage that. We have designed a special frame to support this instrument to an engine mounting and this is nearly completed. In addition, we have designed an engine mounting for the Heinkel which incorporates a certain type of insulator, and which will be completed in about three weeks, and we hope to carry out tests in flight, recording the vibrations of the aircraft with the insulators in position and also removed [struck through], replaced by solid [handwritten] attachments to the mounting. It should be possible for us to complete the two series of tests mentioned above in one week and when we are ready to carry them out, we will let you know. Dor{Mr Dorey}/Hks. [Signature] Hks.
