Test report on Morganite E.G.O dynamo brushes following bench and road testing.

Test of Morganite E.G.O Brushes. These brushes represent the softest grade of the electro-graphitic class. A set was first run on the bench, and compared for silence with the standard ^EG.2 grade. In this respect they were found to be a little better than the standard brushes. They were subsequently fitted to a medium output dynamo, SS{S. Smith}2, which travelled 10,467 miles on 20EX. The machine was then removed from the car for bench examination and test, the results of which were as follows:- Insulation tested; quite alright. The appearance of the commutator surface was normal, the amount of blackening being about the same as with standard brushes; varying from zero up to about one third of a Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
