| W.E.4 (2) (Contd) the secondary and apparent scrupulous care in winding, the coils as going out on production are still weakest on the lower secondary layers. When we can force breakdowns to occur in the other layers of the secondary we shall feel that this weakness has been overcome. It may be the case that coils wound with the secondary next to the core are not subject to this phenomenon as is extensively almost exclusively in the States been the case for a number of years. We have commenced some time ago experimental work in this direction and we feel we ought to keep this work moving. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} West. | ||
