| RR 236 (150 BKS)(BH57/29-8-26.) MP 224356 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To: EFC. Order No.: AC.85. Customer's No.: x 4333 Bench Test of EG347 LeCarbone 20lb Dynamo Brushes. A set of these brushes has been put through the standard test on the direct-coupled rig. They ran without chattering or excessive sparking and attained a good polish, slightly better than the EGA grade and possibly better than the Z grade. The commutator was left in fairly good condition, similar to what is obtained with standard brushes. Wear was smaller than with the EGA brushes, but is possibly on the average, slightly more than that of Z brushes, the amounts being:- Positive ·0215", Negative ·0155", Control ·0155".
