Swindell}7/MH.{M. Huckerby}1.12.38. B.60 No.1 UNIT. Will you please assemble the above unit for further endurance as follows. We are anxious to get running again as soon as possible. (1) As soon as possible fit new modified tappets PD.324. Until these are ready fit new exhaust tappets. For inlets fit original Wraith steel type tappets and push rods to suit, these require faces grinding flat. (2) New pistons (Aerolite) which Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} will supply. 3 are normal EB.2844 pistons and 3 have had special R.R. treatment. (3) New inlet valve springs and washers, EB.4401/2 and 3. (4) Studebaker crank damper which with slight mods. as schemed by HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/Bellamy can be fitted. (5) New exhaust valves required if available, these being Sodium filled and in accordance with our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} 19/MH.{M. Huckerby}24.11.38.
