r 6117. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/MA. 9th April, 1935. Mr. E.A. Bayles, British Insulated Cables, Ltd., Helsby, Nr. WARRINGTON. Dear Mr. Bayles, We are anxious to develop a suitable cable for use on our 20/25 engines which are installed in a number of War Office Tanks. At the same time we have in mind the question of using the same cable for aero work. We have had a number of failures of the existing standard armoured cables used on tanks and one of our engineers has brought me back a sample of cable from the U.S.A. used by Pan-American Airways, after much research and experiments. I thought perhaps either yourself or one of your representatives would like to examine this cable and discuss the possibility of producing a similar cable for ourselves. Will you let me know if you can spare the time to come over and see me and have a chat on ignition cable matters. Yours sincerely, | ||
