Will you please fill in on this sheet what tests you consider a new chassis should go through before going onto production, i.e. on the road, on the dynamometer and other test apparatus, with special regard to the sections you are responsible for. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Cr.{Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester} Road Test Total mileage of 50,000 made up as follows. (a) 20,000 miles in France as at present. (b) 10,000 miles in London traffic including deliberate parking and manoeuvring in confined spaces to exercise steering gear. (c) 20,000 miles general running in England. During first 10,000 miles of English running car should be periodically washed on underside with high press hose and wheels removed. Object; to get water into pivots etc. | ||
