With reference to your recent report on the above matter, Mr Royce agrees to the re-making of the dies for all stampings excepting steering levers, and also to the reduction in the gauge of the cross frame tubes.

With reference to the increase in weight of series 2170 owing to the inverted springs, fittings and tie rods, Mr Royce remarks :-
"Can we not find some saving to compensate."
