J1020 To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}19/MH.{M. Huckerby}22.11.38. BEARINGS. In view of the 15,000miles test on 8.B.V. in regard to the Vandervell main bearings whereby the front, centre and rear were in good condition, but the intermediate starting to fail, we should like you to produce some intermediate bearings for us in our AC.9 alloy. Other than the material they should be identical dimensions to the Vandervell brgs. The intermediate Vandervell bearings for B.60, B.80 and large bore B.60 are EB.4419 top half and EB.4420 lower half and we would like you to produce 12 complete bearings. For Bentley V we should like 8 bearings in AC.9, otherwise the dimensions for Vandervell bearings are EB.4337/8. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} | ||
