Herewith we send N.schemes 3441/42, suggestions for mounting the Lucas H.F. horn in the front of the car.

Mounting on the front cross member as shewn on N.sch.3441. brings, we understand, the horn too close to the number plate, so that the sound is muffled. Obviously a little could be gained by increasing the set in the upper bracket, but we do not know how much is needed, and accordingly have made N.sch.3442 shewing methods of mounting on the apron which we expect will be preferred.

Messrs Lucas provide flexibility in their standard mounting by means of parallel thin strips. It is suggested that the apron mounting shewn may provide all the flexibility required. If not, the Lucas mounting can be used as indicated in a scrap view.

HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/WST3/AD27232., speaks of "very rigid mounting" being required for a new and improved horn. Presumably this does not apply to the horn shewn on these drawings, but we should like particulars of the new horn, and also of the mounting on 19-G-4.

It is suggested that the mounting shewn on N.scheme 3443. should be adapted to the 25HP., the apron being to all intents and purposes the same.

Since under the bonnet seems to have many disadvantages for any type of horn, we should like it confirmed that this position prevents the horn giving its proper sound.
