I have read with interest Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 2/LG15.5.29 regarding 12-G-4, particularly in the light of our recent correspondence and discussions about the jellying of the chassis with the longer frame.

I may have misunderstood the position but I gather that 14-G-4 long frame chassis without the cross does not suffer from this jellying trouble, but that 12-G-4 with the same frame without the cross does jelly badly.

If, therefore, I have read the memo. correctly, it bears out the view expressed in my Sg {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 10/E6.5.29 that we are not yet through with our troubles with the long frame chassis, i.e. certainly not in a position to authorise its going into manufacture until this jellying trouble has been elucidated and corrected.
