X7460. To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/N23.4.30. Re - HINGED PETROL TANK FILLER. Since the method of retaining the joint washer shewn on Fig.2. would only be satisfactory with hard rubber or fibre, it is probably better to revert to that shewn on Fig.1. viz. a set screw washer and distance piece in the centre of the vap. Would RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} please convert his pieces to that type, and By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} alter detail drawings. The amount of toggling on the actual pieces of the clip is not quite enough. It does not appear to be as much as on the drawing. Could this be checked, and if the pieces are correct, we think the tip of the lever should be made to move another .050 to .075 past the dead centre. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
