X 20 Report from Hurst on Chassis 2301. X. 315. May 6th. Wearing very well not quite so resilient as Dunlops. " 13th. Not quite so resilient as Dunlops. The plain treads are wearing well, but the tread of the studded tyre has come away from tyre completely all in one piece tyre not punctured. " 20th. Not quite so resilient as Dunlops one of the plain treads is scrapped through a cut with a stone. This makes one studded and one plain tread scrapped. The others seem to be wearing very well. I think on good roads they would give good results. The valves on the inner tubes seem in my opinion to be made of some soft metal and this expands at the split end and lets the inner portion of valve blow out. " 26th. No further trouble. June 2nd. General wear good. " 9th. General wear good. " 16th. Not quite so resilient as Dunlops. General wear good. I have returned the studded cover (whose tread came off) with Bullamore, Mr Royce says it ought either to be returned to makers or a report sent to them about it. The plain treads are the better tyre. " 23rd. Plain treads are wearing well. " 30th. Plain tread wearing well. July 7th. Plain tread wearing very well. " 15th. Plain treads still going well. | ||
