8540 G.W.Hancock, Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, FRANCE. From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}7/WJ.26.5.33. Re. Shock Absorber Leaks. We are very concerned indeed with the report of leaks from glands on the shock absorbers because actually these are now being brought in on Phantom 11 cars and will shortly be fitted to the 25 HP. production cars. We are therefore sending over W. Bell. He is bringing with him various parts and we want him to collect off you all the latest information and results so that we can intelligently confirm the results, or suggest modifications. He is leaving tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon. He is also bringing with him the mild steel brake straps which I believe Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has already written to you about. I am anticipating bringing a Bentley car out to France in about a fortnight's time. I may run it for about a week and then leave it at Chateauroux for you to carry on. We should be glad to hear whether there have been any further developments in connection with Pattinson's accident. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
