Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X7340 BA7/MMO.10.28. LIGHTENED CLUTCH & FLYWHEEL - SERRATED X.7300 UNIVERSAL JOINT. No.5. X.1360 X.7340 With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/LG2.10.28., we suggest that a thing which might be immediately tried is either a stainless steel plug in the crankshaft on which the ball bearing slids, or else cadmium plating of the same part. When the modified arrgt. for SS.{S. Smith} is tried we think the lubrication conditions are very much improved, but there are still further proposals we could make if necessary.
