AMERICAN BOSCH BATTERY IGNITION EQUIPMENT.

We have received from Mr. Olley one duplex unit of American Bosch battery ignition equipment of the type which we understand is fitted to U.S.A. 40/50 chassis. Attached please find copy of my assistant's report WB.{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell}108 on the preliminary examination of this, excluding items in connection with the ignition coils. It will be possible to run one portion of the double unit on the bench and one portion on the chassis.

The apparatus was sent more particularly in connection with contact breaker experiments for which purpose we have also received two pairs of spare contact points.

Tests of the apparatus will be made when the progress of contact point experiments on our own and Delco-Remy apparatus permits.

EFC.

WB.{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell}108 attached.
