X. 3066 TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary} RS{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}2/M18.12.23 RECEIVED STANDARDISATION SHEETS. The following sheets are returned herewith:- (1) MAGNETO IGNITION FOR 20.HP. CARS. R.{Sir Henry Royce} remarks "Agreed. Only to be fitted when "specially ordered. Not sure whether magneto can "be safely removed for tappet adjustment which "seems necessary even if tilted over" PHR. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} remarks "Agreed. But think rocking the "magneto over towards the outside would improve the "accessibility of the tappets" DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} (2) SPRING FOR CLOSING MAIN THROTTLE WHEN STARTER CARBURETTER IS FITTED. R.{Sir Henry Royce} remarks "That on 4.EX. is not satisfactory. "Understood a tension spring was to be fitted instead "of torsion one at present on 4.EX, but perhaps this "only requires set adjusted." DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} remarks "Agreed". DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} If there are some more S.S. would you let me know & I will see to them. Occasionally, I do not see these sheets as soon as they arrive at WW., consequently there is then a danger of delay in agreeing & returning to Derby. Rs.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary} | ||
