Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} WYMAN BY/Mtn19/N.22.9.36. Re: 25/30 HP. Exhaust Manifolds. [Handwritten note]: How will this affect cost of complete manifold? Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} We have now received a reply from Ley's Malleable Casting Co. in regard to our enquiry for exhaust manifold E.61147 in malleable iron, and they have informed us that they cannot cast this to the thickness we show .125, and they must have a minimum thickness of 3/16". They also point out this is an extremely expensive casting to make, and their price will be 1/3d. per lb. We have discussed this job with Mr Bradley in the Pattern Shop and he points out that they have a pattern which would be suitable, therefore, perhaps you will let us know if you wish us to do anything further in this matter.
