To H.S.
Yesterday & today the car has been used for demonstration runs. The general running of the car is satisfactory. The springing is remaining constant and there is very little loss of oil.
No 4 tappet has lost .003" clearance & No 12 .001"
Nos 3 & 10 have not since lost any clearance since I last reported them.
I was able to leave the car in the open last night & with an air temp of 3°C the engine started on the main carb under 5 sec & I immediately opened 2 notches on the quadrant & drove across the yard.
Since having the driver's cushion altered there has been no complaint of the top gear coming out.
I was out with the car yesterday on its run & we did not experience a single huff up on the carb & the carburation does not appear to have been effected in any other way by fitting the spring.
