To G.W.Hancock, Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, FRANCE. From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/MJ.23.3.33. Re. Bensport. PN.{Mr Northey} is crossing over to France on Monday on the midday boat from Dover, and would like to try the Bensport car from Calais to Paris. We should like you to arrange for the car to meet him at Calais and for him to run it to Paris. He does not keep the car at all. The car then goes straight back to Chateauroux. I should send two men with the car to Calais I do not know how many PN.{Mr Northey} will expect to carry in the car, but if necessary one of the men could return to Paris by train. We expect to send 18-G4. car to France the end of next week. Until that car arrives therefore PN.{Mr Northey} cannot have the Bensport. We shall send a man out with 18-G4. which will allow you to spare one man to go with PN.{Mr Northey} We shall be interested to know whether you have any explanation for the failure of the pistons and whether you have examined the other pistons in the car to see whether there are any other signs of failure in a similar way. In case anything happens to the Bensport car so that it cannot get to Calais, will you please wire PN.{Mr Northey} direct at Conduit Street. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
