To EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} from R. {Sir Henry Royce} Copy to CJ. " " HS. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " " BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} " " DA {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} FC R5/G29/8/21. RECEIVED X4338 ORIGINAL RE EARTHED ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. It will be understood that on "Goshawk II" we have an entirely earthed electrical system. We are proposing to use an exactly similar system on the small 14 H.P. R. {Sir Henry Royce} We are at present designing the switch (condensed ignition charging and lighting) two handle locked switch. The distributing board is a very small and simple one, and the automatic switch is to go on the dynamo, so that the wiring will be extremely simple, very little of it, and easily understood.
