Bentley car with a failed No. 5 connecting rod bearing after being towed in.

Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} Kingsbury, May 11th, 1937. Bentley Engine Bearings. B.111.CW - 25,248 miles. A Bentley had to be towed in with bearing trouble. Upon dismantling all the metal had gone out of No.5 con rod. Not a sign on either rod and cap. The remaining rod bearings were in an excellent condition. The main bearings were found with the broken metal hammered in. The car originally belonged to Miss Watson Laignton of South Devon and had just been sold to Mr. Farquharson.
