Brief report on tests conducted to investigate high-speed steering wobbles.

X457 We have carried out tests on a car on which the front steering pivots were truly vertical and arranged to give true centre-point steering. The axle was one of the old type, not arranged for 4-wheel brakes. We found we had to add extra weight on to the road wheels and after this was done we could produce high speed wobbles.
