Control Brushes on 20 h.p. Dynamo (2 coils/slot) These brushes have now completed their period of running on the bench. There has been a moderate amount of sparking, more noticeably at the control brush. The main brushes are highly polished right across the contact surfaces, the control brush being slightly inferior. It is noticed that the control brush rivet has oxidized, suggesting bad contact. The commutator has been left in very good condition and of a cleaner coppery colour than is usual. Brush wear is rather more than occurs with the harder grades on this machine viz:- Positive .010" Negative .0045" Control .011" Signed: FJA. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
