Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} from EFC. EFC1/T13.12.21. X.4275 X.4275 - U.S.A. BOSCH BATTERY IGNITION. Have we on order, and are we expecting to receive shortly, three sets of U.S.A. Bosch battery ignition, in accordance with the extracts below from notes of Mr. Royce and Mr. Olley ? We had assumed that these sets would be coming along, but as they have not turned up, we are wondering if they are really on order. Extract from R2/G21.6.21. & Oy "I would like to say that I am very pleased with "the application of this apparatus, and think it would "be very satisfactory to have both magneto and battery "ignition supplied by the American Bosch Company. The "battery ignition should be run by our experimental "department for some time to see whether all the parts "are thoroughly reliable, and for this reason we asked "you in our recent cablegram to send us three more sets "of the most up-to-date equipment." Extract from Oyl/G18.7.21. "(1) Further Sets. The American Bosch Co. has quoted us "a priceof $12.00 each on the three outfits of battery "ignition ordered by Derby. This is their regular "price for the standard outfit, and only applies to the "three experimental sets. Platinum distributor points "will be used as on the outfit on 4-EX. "Two of these sets will be ready on July 24, and "the other about August 15." EFC. | ||
