experience in the Fen country, secondly, the reduction in the lateral flexibility of the rear springs, thirdly, the increased stiffness of the rear springs, so as to prevent a top- heavy car rolling about through falling in the pot holes which exist alternately on the side of the road, increased rigidity in the Longitudinal steering tube and the introduction of a small amount of friction in some part of the steering system to damp the freedom of the control; this latter feature may be a decided disadvantage but it is worth experimenting for the sake of providing all the possible modifications.
