BRAKES. ------- X.7420 X.7930 I understand that brake squeaks are from the front brakes chiefly. We have asked Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} to produce a design of shoe pivoted as a loco motive brake. This may have the desired effect on the squeaks, and add to the life of the brake shoe and the ease of bedding. I should anticipate that such brakes would be more consistent, and wear longer, but not so effectively powerful, but this could be easily corrected by adjustment of the leverage.
