Thank you for your HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG23628.
We note that the subframe is at Lillie Hall, and regret that in order to provide a body for Mr. Royce in time for the holiday we are unable to use it for the first car.
We are sending it to Hooper's, and on Wednesday (June 27th.) we are interviewing Capt. Pelham-Clinton with a view to ordering the second body for India 3., a 6 seater, fixed head, enclosed cabriolet, with de ville front.
The third body, the Coupe close-coupled all-weather, will be built by Barker's on the lines of the open sports cars.
We would be glad if you would allocate experimental chassis numbers to these 3 cars for convenience in writing.
When it was decided to purchase an existing body for the first car, and not use the subframe, we told R.{Sir Henry Royce} that we would inform you so as to avoid undue rush on the subframe, and he said he wished us to not stop anything.
