W/P. To Sr/VA. 1245 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/MHR.{M. H. Rigby}1/ML.13.2.40. Levallois. In view of the nature of the wear on your sumph diaphragm, which has the red fibre washer fitted, we would advise you to insert an extra .020" annular ring as you originally suggested. S.U's inform us that the Neophrene diaphragms are unaffected by alcohol, and only give trouble with benzole. We should like to know whether you have recently had cause to change over from the usual alcohol mixture to a petrol with Benzole content. Clearly we cannot carry out endurance tests without the correct fuel. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/MHR.{M. H. Rigby} | ||
