R.R. 235a (500 T) (S.D. 408. 26-4-17.) Bm. 2/156/13. X.3082 To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. c. to CJ. c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Bm C. to. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} COPY. EFC3/T13.6.19. X.3348 - ALUM: BRUSH HOLDER FOR STARTER MOTOR Regarding your note R11/G10.6.19, on the above subject, we do not know of any case in which other makers use an aluminium brush holder. We are, therefore, arranging for the present, that production motors be fitted with gun-metal brush holders as previously standard. In the meanwhile the motor on the new experimental chassis has been fitted with aluminium brush holders and the other experimental motors which are being made, will also be fitted with these. We are asking Mr. Day to scheme out a brush holder for the 40/50 starter motor on the lines of the design shewn on Lec.1073 for the 2 H.P. motor. EFC, | ||
