Re Lubricating Oils.

The following are current prices of the various high-class lubricants which we purchase in the ordinary course for use in car engines and aero engines:-

Wakefield's 9/3d.per
Castrol Oil gallon In 40 gallon barrels

Price's 4/11d.per (Used during
Motorine B. gallon In 40 gallon barrels (summer months)

Price's 4/11d.per (Used during
Motorine C. gallon In 40 gallon barrels (winter months)

Price's 3/11d.per
Battersea gallon In 40 gallon barrels
Gear Oil

Price's 4/1d.per
Amber gallon In 40 gallon barrels
Gear Oil

Price's Motorine is the only lubricant used for car engines and Wakefield's Castrol is the only lubricant used for aero engines.

For the gear boxes and back axles of cars, we employ a mixture of 50% each "Battersea" and Amber Gear Oils.
