WHr.{Mr Wheeler} London. C. to Ha. Derby. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " C.W.B. London. X8990 Pt.5/FM-31/8/27. Mr. Richard Meares of Sydney, who owns chassis number GCK28, drew my attention the other day to the fact that he had had the starter pedal and actuating rod extended to a position on the dashboard between brake pedal and the accelerator pedal so that he could use same with his right foot and cut out all danger of the pedal being inadvertently pressed by passenger. Mr. Meares mentioned that on more than one occasion when carrying three passengers on the front seat this pedal had been accidentally depressed while the engine was running, and it seems to me there is a very considerable risk of this happening with consequent damage to starter motor and starter ring. You might like to mention this to the Drawing Office at some time or other. Pt. N | ||
