-2- (b) With heavy air valve:- The carburation in this case is essentially similar to when the light air valve is employed and has the same defect of excessive richness idling. When changing over from the light to the heavy air valve it is necessary to weaken off the low speed jet the equivalent of 10 notches on the quadrant in order to obtain the optimum setting.
