contd :- -2- The knock with which we are concerned is one which can only come up after a considerable amount of wear and tear has taken place. On the next 20 HP. running 10,000 miles we are feeding oil under pressure to one of the damper bearings (see sketch) to see if this has any appreciable effect with regard to the diminution of wear. We have recently standardised these shock dampers on the rear when the load on the brgs. in question is approx. double that at present existing on the front.
