Dear Sirs, Many thanks for your letter of September 3rd enclosing drawings of your proposed new jack pump and rams. We have had a look at these and think they will be an improvement on the existing outfit. As soon as you have a set available for test, we suggest you screw thread the outside of the jacks in exactly the same manner as those of our Phantom III so that there will be no difficulty in fitting them to a car. The fitting of a new pump on an experimental car does not present serious difficulties. The improvement whereby the jacks can be removed downwards is one of which we should like to take advantage as soon as possible. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
