To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} 85250 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/MJ.18.7.31. X5770. X.5250. 25 HP. TESTS IN FRANCE ON 19-G4. It is intended to send this car to France in order to test out the parts which will be fitted to the second half of 'T' Series. Now it has been definitely decided to reduce the depth of the radiator, this will mean major alterations to the method of supporting it. We have asked W.W. to supply us with the necessary designs as soon as possible. It is certain, however, that we shall not get the new parts before the holidays. As the new radiator is the chief alteration to this car, we have to decide whether the car shall go to France with the present radiator or whether it should be held up until the new parts are ready. If we take into account the holidays, it would take about four weeks to get this alteration through. We also recommend that the 25 HP. car should be fitted with flip-flap shutters to the bonnet. We have received a number of complaints of overheating of the 25 HP. and although the new radiator is deeper, the length of the tube has been reduced so that it is doubtful whether we shall obtain any definite gain in cooling.
