ROY {Sir Henry Royce} 6/FJ With further reference to our letter of the 12th instant, we beg to say that as an advertisement, we have decided to dispose of a limited number of our Oscilloscope sets at reduced prices and we therefore beg to advise that we are prepared to allow an additional discount of 5% on all orders which reach this office not later than the 31st instant, this is in addition to the 2½% discount which we are already allowing for payment within 30 days after despatch of the instrument from our Works. The above does not mean that we should require you to take delivery of the instrument before the 31st instant, but we are prepared to allow these special terms provided the order reaches us not later than the end of the month. Owing to the present Trade slump, we are also prepared to accept payment by instalments as follows:- £65 nett cash within 7 days after despatch of the instrument from our Works. £30 nett cash within two calendar months after despatch of the instrument from our Works and £30 nett cash within two calendar months after 2nd payment has become due.
